I am really in love with Zara… If I could I would honestly buy the whole store lol…Thursday I FINALLY got the opportunity to “break in” and wear my new Zara patent leather ankle booties, which specifically came from the Zara Basic Collection. I matched them up with a white collared button blouse, and some skin tight skinny jeans with my long beige blazer from Forever 21.

I went to a party on Wednesday October 7th,2015 and decided to keep it basic with a nice black form fitted dress…and dress it up but not too much. My new strap up heels were my favorite part of my outfit that night!

Hello everyone,
I know I haven’t posted lately I’ve been really busy since I’ve been back at school. Summer break is over and now I’m back to the grind, with late nights…heavy homework & projects, hard decision making, etc…pretty much everything a college student has to do and go through! However, I know it will all be well worth it in the end, and so far my Sophomore year has been great, filled with many blessings & memories.
I hope everyone’s Labor Day went well…I really enjoyed mine. My girl friends and I, and one of my closest guy friends here at school all went to the beach. We all enjoyed one another’s company, relaxing in the sand and soaking up some sun. I brought my Beats Pill along with us so that we could listen to music, and dance a lil lol, and you know we couldn’t leave the beach without taking a plethora amount of ” selfies” with the selfie stick…and group shots in the sand and along the water. We each made sure we had our own individual mini photo shoots too lol, I mean did you really go to the beach if you didn’t take pictures? Lol. Anyways, after our beach trip we went to a cook out that our cafeteria staff provided for us along our waterfront, which was also a nice way to end our Labor Day weekend.

Hello everyone, I’ve been meaning to post a blog entry for a few days now but time has some how ran away from me. Anyways, this past weekend was very eventful and fun, it was a great way to conclude my summer break at home before going back to Hampton University, where I attend college.
Friday night, I went to the Arlington County fair with my family, I enjoyed the quality time that I spent with them there. It’s always a good thing to spend time with loved ones…❤️ I usually go Friday, Saturday and Sunday but this year I was only able to make on Friday night due to other commitments.
Saturday morning, my mom, brother and I went to do a little bit more school shopping. We went to Pentagon City, which is a local mall. While I was there I bought a few things from P.I.N.K. that I needed to take back to school. When I was done shopping there, and proceeded to the next store I noticed a “Pop-Up Shop” that was sponsored by Refinery29 & Simon. It was a fashion Pop-Up shop with different brands of fashionable clothing items, called Style Festival. As we all should know, I love fashion so you know I had to stop by and see what was going on! I recieved a pass with a lanyard attached to it, to visit all the different stands and mini boutiques. An upcoming artist called Lionbabe also performed, I loved her unique vibes music. Saturday night, I joined my friend Raichele from HU and some of her friends to celebrate her 19th birthday at this club in DC, called Ultra Bar. I had an amazing time, and I want to go back again some day. I wore a black long sleeve romper from Forever 21, a clutch from F21 and my blush colored Vince Camuto strapped heels. I’m here to tell you, they are well worth the investment and are super cute and so comfortable to hit the dance floor with! Anyways, I had a great time and S/O to my friend Raichele for turning 19!
Last but not least, then I’ll be done talking for the night lol…I just can’t leave this out! Sunday evening I went to the J. Cole concert with my friends! Amazing show, I would go to another one of his concerts! I had a great time and he has such an interesting mentality to me, beyond just his music but the way he thinks In general. Anyways, if you ever get the chance to go see him in concert, by all means do so!

Good Evening everyone, today I wore an Egg White colored body con turtle neck dress. I got it from H&M a few weeks ago, and I’m just now getting around to wearing it. I loved the way it fit me, it wasn’t too loose or too snug, it fit perfectly. I enjoy wearing plain body con dresses, both with sleeves and without. The one that I wore today was sleeveless, but was still turtle neck style. Body con dresses are so easy to wear, you literally can just throw them on and go! They are the true definition of “less is more.” My goal is to eventually have them in every color possible, since they are so easy to wear and are great staple pieces! The clutch that I carried today came from Target, it has really become one of my favorite clutches that I own. My cat eyed sunglasses completed my outfit today, because they are so different and they pop! I bought my sandals from Nordstrom’s sometime in June and they are by Steve Madden. 🙂 Feel free to ask questions or add comments!

This post is about my OOTD (outfit of the day) from Saturday, and a few things I picked up from Tyson’s corner mall today with my mom! My mom and I spent the whole day together, I really enjoy our quality time together, especially since I will be leaving for school very soon. First, we went to get manicures and pedicures, we treated ourselves. I always get gel nails, I chose a color called “Do you know Van Gogh?” by O.P.I. it was my first time getting this color and it looks super cute! On my toes I got the color “Bubble Bath” by O.P.I. which came out really pretty as well. It always feels really nice to be able to treat yourself every now and then, us girls should always try our very best to stay well kept at all times 🙂

Also, today I had more money on my Nordstrom’s gift card that I had from Christmas, so I decided to go and buy some makeup from M.A.C. I can not wait to try them out! I had the makeup artist try the products that I bought on my face first before I bought them of course, and I fell in love! I didn’t buy everything I wanted at once, but I had the makeup artist write down what I didn’t buy on a piece of paper for when I do decide to purchase them. Saturday was a good day…hope you all enjoyed yours as well!
What I bought from M.A.C.:
For those who know me really well, know that I have a new found love for Neutral colors. I love to wear neutral colors, such as: beige, ivory, black, gray, whites…etc. Although I enjoy wearing these colors, my closest friends always tell me to remember to wear other colors that are a lot more vibrant as well. So, this summer I have been working on that and have been wearing more bright colors that are “happier.” Its so crazy how my cousin was worried about me at one point, saying that I wear really cute clothes but she was worried because they would always be so dark. She really thought that I was becoming depressed or something lol…I had to reassure her that that had not been the case. I just enjoy wearing neutrals. My friends also think its like pulling teeth to encourage me to get other colors on my toes and nails, during our nail dates other than nudes. Sorry, I just like to stick to my basics but here and there I do venture out, and I can’t lie they come out pretty cute when I do listen to them 🙂

Happy Sunday everyone!
When I was younger I used to be obsessed with Polyvore.com! Polyvore is a community powered social commerce website. Where members are allowed to select items of their choice to create collages, in which they call “sets.” Active members on Polyvore usually exist in the areas of fashion, interior design and artistic expression. A while back I used to always make hundreds of sets of vision boards, and create different outfits that I could potentially see myself in one day. Making sets was almost like a hobby of mine back in the day…however as we all know some things come to an end. I stopped making polyvore sets out of the random one day, and now I have found my interest in making them again! Every now and then I will post mood boards (Inspiration boards) of outfits and certain styles that I am interested in at the moment, as I used to love doing a while back.
